STORY OF SADDAM1942
The second Gulf War of 2003 left many questions unanswered. Where did Saddam Hussein and senior members of the Baath Party regime flee to? What became of Saddam's weapons of mass destruction? Why did the mighty Republican Guard not show up to fight? In the aftermath of the Gulf War of 1991, Saddam Hussein's intelligence agencies scrambled to find locations to hide the regime's weapons of mass destruction from incoming UN weapons inspectors. While probing the ancient city of Uruk with ground penetrating radar to find caves, Saddam's forces found a massive chamber underneath the remains of the ancient, eroded Ziggurat of Marduk. After clearing the way to the cave with explosives, the agents made a startling discovery: an alien artifact buried by time and dust. Saddam, wishing to keep the secret to himself, summoned Iraq's most prominent scientists and scholars to the site. A translation of the cuneiform inside revealed that the artifact was a gateway to the gods, capable of travel through space and time, and was sealed by the Egyptian god Ra, forever banishing the gods of Babylon from the Earth. Saddam, having failed to conquer even tiny Kuwait, became obsessed with the idea of using the gate to conquer lands in times and worlds other than his own. Unfortunately for many of the Iraqi scientists, who were threatened with the imprisonment, torture, rape, and death of both them and their families, the methods for using the portal had been permanently blotted out from the stone carvings millennia ago. The scientists finally converted power to the portal within a year and opened it, and sent crude robotic probes through. None returned. Angered, Saddam sent some of his many political prisoners through the portal, and once again, none returned. The coordinate system built into the amazingly large complex of numbers made no sense, and the scientists theorized the numbers were factors to an amazingly large unifying space-time equation far beyond the scope of modern physics, and were almost like seeds to a random number generator. The hapless prisoners were most likely sent into the void of outer space billions of years ago. Saddam, after torturing and executing most of the scientists' families upon hearing the news, ordered that the scientists use a brute force attack to find another world for him to conquer. Modifying the coordinate system and sending prisoners through, Saddam's scientists constantly sent through men, women, and children convicted of nearly any crime into random places in space and time. With security being extremely tight, the people sent away to annihilation were rumored to have simply "disappeared." Finally, on September 10th, 2001, after sending nearly 100,000 prisoners to their doom through the portal, there was a breakthrough: a portal was kept open to the a place in the middle of the Iraqi desert at a time exactly 61 years in the past. It was soon discovered that the current timeline was not affected by alteration of the past timeline, as the machine theoretically creates a fork in the past to a parallel universe. Saddam immediately begins sending elite soldiers into the past to create a military base on the other side of the portal, as his top generals draft up plans to conquer the entire planet in 1942. Moving under the cover of darkness and heat-obfuscating mud, Saddam gradually sends 100,000 of his top Republican Guard soldiers into 1942, along with his hidden cache of surviving Gulf War weapons: MiG29 fighters, Su-25 attack planes, Mi24D helicopters, T-72 "Lion of Babylon" tanks, SCUD missiles, mobile chemical and biological facilities, and a crude nuclear bomb, along with enough plutonium to produce another. Food from the UN oil exchange program is used to feed the soldiers at the other end of the portal as millions of Iraqi children starve, as Saddam builds useless palaces for himself to cover the money trail. Secretly produced oil is stockpiled in massive quantities on the other side of the portal, and ammunition and small-arms factories are set up in the middle of the desert. US special forces soldiers and Coalition pilots patrolling the no-fly zone in Iraq immediately discover a very large military operation is going on, but fail to find out exactly what it is. President Bush and Tony Blair, privy to the information but fearful of releasing it to the public due to their lack of solid evidence, decide to drive to war versus Iraq against world opinion. Saddam, knowing that his time is running out, travels through the portal with the last of his troops and top leaders of the Baath regime on March 19, 2003 -- just as US warplanes take off to fire the opening salvo of Gulf War II. Token forces are left behind to defend the country, while Taha Yassin Ramadan, Tariq Aziz, and Mohammed "Baghdad Bob" Saeed Al-Sahaf stay behind and run the country and the cover. Storming in a blitzkrieg through the desert, Saddam's army advances on Basra, utterly smashing the British imperial forces stationed in Iraq with a combination of surprise and superior technology. Taking the entire country within three weeks, almost parallel to the US invasion in 2003 in casualties taken and speed, the world is in shock and awe of Saddam's mystery forces. Religious panic takes over much of the Christian world, as the Pope, concurring with leading Protestant evangelists, declares Saddam Hussein to be the Antichrist, with the end times near. The muslim world, however, sees him as the Imam Mahdi -- a man whose materialization was foretold by Mohammed, and would unite the arabs and bring peace and justice to the world by defeating the tyrants and opressors. As Saddam enters Mecca to pray, the entire muslim world rallies behind him in his call to jihad against "Satan's criminal zionist alliance." Even the most secular muslims are turned into AK-47 wielding fanatics overnight, ready to become shohadaa (martyrs) for Saddam as he fires a rifle into the air while MiG-29s, Mirage F1s, Su-25s, and a Tu-160 fly in formation overhead. Saddam quickly establishes relations with the Axis powers and allyies with Adolf Hitler, making a speech before the Reichstag promises to "bring death to the American, British, Russian, and Zionist criminal alliance" and to create "the greatest civilization ever: an Islamic socialist empire stretching from Morocco to Pakistan." With much of the Allied population panicked, Churchill promises to "Rid the world of the abhorrent curse of Saddam Hussein," Roosevelt tells his people "Once again, we have nothing to fear but fear itself," and Stalin tells his army that "It will take more courage for you to run from Saddam than to advance on him." Saddam rallies enamored Arabs throughout the middle east to jihad, as his newly constructed factories churn out AK-47s and RPGs to equip the millions of Arab crack troops ready to fight against their imperial oppressors. The US and UK fights valiantly in North Africa's Operation Torch, but Saddam's forces drive the allies from the continent, as the Republican Guard, in command of the vehicles, suffer very few casualties in respect with the allies, save for the Arab crack troops, whose ground tactics are mere suicide, but effective nonetheless. The battles of Tobruk, Gazala, Battleaxe, an El Alamein are all stunning victories for Saddam. After establishing an African empire -- much to Hitler and Mussolini's well-hidden chagrin -- Saddam moves his main Republican Guard divisions east to open a second front against the Soviet Union in central Asia. Sweeping across Soviet countries in central Asia -- Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and even Stalin's home country of Georgia, the Soviet Union loses vast swaths of its territory and resources quickly. Finding little resitance in the air, Saddam sends squadrons of MiG29 fighters to France to fight the RAF over the skies of Britain. In the Battle of Britain, the RAF desperately tries to fight against Saddam's massively superior jet fighters, but only manage to down two MiG fighters as their air forces are smashed. With his forces achieving victories everywhere, steamrolling all opposition, Saddam decides against his top generals' warnings to create a navy with modified Japanese ships and to divert 10,000 troops to drive the Americans from the Pacific, paving the way for an invasion of the American homeland through Mexico. Meanwhile, Saddam recruits loyal French and light-skinned Arab agents to plot a secret attack to "grill America's stomach in Hell." On September 11, 1942, a wave of massive terrorist attacks hits America -- an anthrax attack in Boston, a dirty bomb attack in Chicago, and a VX gas attack on Washington DC, killing over 200,000 civilians. A wave of suicide bombings erupt in Seattle, Los Angeles, Houston, Nashville, and Detroit, killing thousands. Two hijacked Boeing 307 Stratoliners also crash into the Empire State Building in New York City, bringing the greatest symbol of American might crashing into the ground. The day afterwards, nearly every man from age 15 to 60 across the country packs the nearest recruiting office. Roosevelt, who managed to escape unscathed, declares "God and America will bring complete and utter destruction upon Saddam, the Antichrist." Hitler, believing Stalin will lose with Saddam on his side, diverts a large portion of his forces from the eastern front to launch Operation Sea Lion -- the land invasion of Britain. As Americans begin landing on the shores of England to defend the UK, the British resort to all-out chemical warfare to stop the Nazi advance at the very gates of London. With the British and American navies attacking Hitler's supply lines, Saddam, with his entire navy in the Pacific, is unable to help. With Hitler's forces cut off inside of Britain, Hitler begs in desperation before ambassador Qusay Hussein, and convinces Saddam to use his sole atomic bomb against London. The SU-25 bomber, instead of dropping the atomic weapon on the allied troops as was planned, instead drops it into central London. 300,000 men, women, and children are killed in an instant. Millions more suffer from burns and radiation and eventually die. However, the allied troops survive, and 100,000 invading German soldiers are killed or captured, as the war slowly begins to turn in Russia for Hitler. Saddam's army flanks the Russians and charges north to Moscow via Chechnya, as Hitler's army once continues to advance against the communist hordes. Believing the Americans are unable to invade Europe, all of Hitler's forces are sent to the Eastern front, and the Wehrmacht once again advances against the Soviets in the harsh Russian winter. However, as the Republican Guard -- after bloody victories in Kursk, Kharkov, and Stalingrad -- arrives at the gates of Moscow, a sole American B29 flies overhead. As it is shot out of the sky by an Iraqi SAM, a white flash of searing hot nuclear death obliterates 10,000 Republican Guard soldiers and their irreplacable equipment, along with 100,000 Arab marauder crack troops. Iraqi forces in Russia are destroyed in one fell swoop as the tide turns against their "invincible" army, and Saddam shoots most of his top generals at random after it is revealed that the enriched uranium used in the bomb was stolen by an SAS raid outside of Baghdad. At a surprise landing at Omaha Beach costing the allies 80,000 casualties -- defended by a small but elite group of Saddam's troops, who knew where the allies would land -- the allies miraculously advance against the Nazi/Baath forces, at an extremely bloody cost. 25,000 Republican Guard soldiers and their loayal arab cohorts rush through North Africa to wage holy war against America and Britain on French soil. With superior numbers, the third army, led by General Patton, wins the battles of Bocage, Market Garden, and the Battle of the Bulge Iraqi counter-attack, even with staggering losses -- it is estimated that 12-20 Sherman tanks were lost for every one T-72, 20 Mustangs and Spitfires for every Mig29, and 20-40 Allied soldiers for every Iraqi Republican Guard soldier. No Iraqi prisoners are taken by the Americans and British, still seething after the destruction of London and the terrorist attacks in America. However, the Iraqis follow Hitler's orders to burn Paris, along with many other cities in scorched earth tactics, and always execute Allied soldiers on capture. Much of the Republican Guard, driven back to Berlin, fights to the death against the Russians -- who take a staggering 500,000 casualties. Inside the gargantuan Hussein empire, Saddam's amazingly brutal reprisals against any form of dissidence turn the Arab people against their new dictator. After instituting a regime of rape, torture, and execution that horrifies even the Japanese, Russians, and Nazis, sporadic firefights break out between the Republican Guard and Arab fighters. However, it is not until Saddam launches a chemical weapons attack that kills hundreds of thousands of protesting pilgrims in Mecca does the entire Arab world unify against Saddam. Believing Saddam to be a false prophet of Satan instead of Allahs' right hand man on Earth, a full-scale revolution breaks out, and the Republican Guard is bogged down fighting against breakaway republics. The British and Americans soon join forces with the Arab tribesmen fighting Saddam, and soon begin advancing on Saddam's thin forces throughout North Africa, while the bulk of the Red Army takes back Central Asia and the middle east. Though still taking heavy casualties from the Republican Guard, the three forces meet at Baghdad, and charge forth to the source of the Republican Guard counter-attacks. At 73 Eastings, Saddam is finally driven from his portal. The last of the Republican Guard, along with Saddam Hussein, his sons, and his protege clone (an 8 year old Saddam) flees to the empire of Japan. The last remnants of Saddam's forces fight the American navy and Marines to the death in Wake Island, Midway, Guadalcanal, and Iwo Jima. To the bitter end, Saddam still remains confident of an island-leaping victory against the Americans in the Pacific, leading to an eventual invasion of the American homeland -- however, the Allies, paying a cost of over 250,000 lives, finally take back the Pacific. With nothing remaining of the Republican Guard, Saddam flees to Japan, only to accidently land in Hiroshima instead of a remote location, as Saddam insisted. The last thing Saddam sees is a sole B29 flying overhead. |
